Trisha Allred is a graduate of Brigham Young University School of Music Education with a Choral Emphasis. While at BYU Trisha won awards in vocal performance in the NATS competitions and loved performing with the Concert Choir where she was the 1st soprano section leader. She had the opportunity to have classical vocal training there along with numerous music education courses that have shaped her teaching. Some of which include kodi training, the dalcrose method, the orff method, advanced music theory, and numerous choir/orchestra teaching practicum courses. While at BYU she also received advanced conducting training for choral and instrumental conducting. While during her student teaching she taught and conducted 4 choirs in a local High School where she had over 300 students. Along with her student teaching she also had the opportunity of teaching in a junior high a string orchestra and choir.
Trisha has played the violin for 25 years and has taught private lessons for 15 of those years. Trisha currently has the privilege of performing in a string ensemble called “Dolce”. “Dolce” has performed for many numerous venues such as: the Violins and Vehicles Gala, The Pride and Prejudice Ball, the CADS Gala. Etc. She also had the pleasure of being the concertmistress of the Lone Peak Orchestra and the violin section leader of the Timpanogos Chamber Orchestra.
She now has a large private music studio where she teaches students of all ages to play the violin and to sing. This school year a dream of hers came true, as she has started up a string orchestra, along with her co-director Jorda n O’Brien, called the “Noteables”. Being able to create an environment for students to make music together has been a highlight of her life and is trilled to start a youth choir this coming year as well. She also volunteers at her local church to teach children music and loves every second of it. Her greatest joy is teaching music to students of all ages and passing on her love of music and knowledge onto them.
Trisha lives in Cochrane with her four small children who are the light of her life and she is so grateful for a supportive husband and family.
Jordan has been involved in music since the age of 6. Beginning her studies at Mount Royal Conservatory she studied under Thomas Megee for 14 years . She was accepted as a member of the prestigious Mount Royal Academy of Music for gifted students and participated in their youth orchestra for 10 years. Jordan has competed and won many awards including provincial Kiwanis. Moving on to Burnham University Jordan took and completed a four year double major in voice and cello, which also included piano proficiency and conducting and was first chair in their orchestra, where she was their featured vocal and cello soloist on several European tours.
Wishing to instill in children a love of music Jordan has taught private voice, cello and piano for the last 17 years from her studio aptly named “For the Love of Music”.
Believing part of the joy of music is to be found learning to play together with others in an orchestra setting, Jordan has started a local orchestra along with co-conductor and violinist Trisha Allred known as “NOTEABLES” where the skills of blending, listening and advancement of musical skills as well as the fostering of musical friendships are developed.
Jordan continues her own love of music performing as a vocal soloist at various venues. One of the joys of her life is her participation as a member of a string ensemble known as “Dolce” playing at various events. Dolce also gives back to the community each Christmas by giving a free family concert featuring their ensemble as well as vocal numbers and featured guest artists.
